wakinglife
Today I wake up in life.
In love’s and lover’s caresses.
In arms of unfailing strength,
cupped by hands, calm and soft,
but with firmness belying their touch.
Today I awaken to music,
to nature’s best-composed operas,
To voices so melodic I return to my dreams,
where my troubles meet untroubled ends.
These dreams presage my next revival,
my imminent morning free of mourning.
Tomorrow I wake up in similar fashion,
embraced in this wakinglife.

Nice work! I particularly liked, “…where my troubles meet untroubled ends”. The whole poem had a soothing sensation. Nice.
